For us, rest does not mean silence, but no haste and no excess.
Just being outside, paying attention to each other and to the place.
Families are also very welcome here.
We love seeing parents and children exploring the outdoors together: building a fire, roasting marshmallows, baking bread, and just being outside together.

Sjaerdemahof is located on a former agricultural farm in the Frisian countryside, just outside Sneek.

Sjaerdemahof is a small-scale campsite without fixed arrival times.
No reception or procedures, but a relaxed way of arriving.
Sometimes you arrive independently with a short instruction;
later in the day we always get to know each other personally.
We like to keep it simple: good facilities,
space around you and attention for the place and for each other.
