but close enough for a drink on a terrace, groceries, or a walk through the city.
Sneek is just a few minutes' bike ride away.
The water, the open landscape, and the silence begin here immediately.
📍 Tip: Our children cycle to school in Sneek every day, so it really is that close.

The Zwette and Lake Sneekermeer are a short distance away.

Camping in De Lege Geaën
Sjaerdemahof is located in De Lege Geaën,
an open landscape between Sneek and the Frisian lakes.
A region of grasslands, water, birds, and sweeping vistas.
Goënga is an old mound village in the open Frisian landscape.
The village originated on a mound at the edge of the former Middle Sea.
and grew over the centuries into a characteristic dike and road village.
Together with Gauw, Loënga, Offingawier and Scharnegoutum, Goënga formed
in the Middle Ages the alliance of the Sneker Vijfga.
The history of water, land, and coexistence is still visible here.
